CallUltra vs Bolna AI
An India-focused voice agent platform with unusual telephony breadth and an actively maintained open-source core.
The short version
Bolna has deeper telephony than we do, five carrier options against our one, plus 140/160-series numbers and Truecaller verification. We have prebuilt bidirectional CRM connectors where Bolna asks you to wire webhooks or Zapier. If your leads live in Zoho or HubSpot, that difference is most of the decision. If carrier redundancy or a self-hostable core matters more, Bolna is the better fit.

Where CallUltra is stronger
CRM connectors you do not have to build
CallUltra ships Zoho CRM and HubSpot OAuth with contact import and call write-back, Google Sheets row-level sync, and three calendar providers. Searching Bolna’s documentation index turns up no Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, LeadSquared, Zendesk or Freshdesk connector: CRM sync is framed as webhooks or Zapier/Make/n8n. That is integration work you pay for in engineering time rather than licence fees.
India data residency without an Enterprise contract
Bolna’s documented default processing region is US (AWS us-east-1), with Indian residency gated behind Enterprise. If your data needs to stay in India and you are buying self-serve, that gate matters.
Commission accounting, not just sub-accounts
Bolna offers sub-accounts with spend caps, infrastructure without economics. CallUltra carries a two-level partner and vendor commission engine with basis-point rates, versioned rate intervals and per-partner statements.
Where Bolna AI is stronger
Telephony depth we do not match
Plivo, Exotel, Vobiz, Twilio and bring-your-own SIP, all supporting inbound, outbound and BYO carrier accounts. CallUltra runs on exactly one carrier. Bolna also sells 140/160-series regulated Indian numbers and runs Truecaller business-name verification, which attacks answer rate directly, neither of which we offer.
A deeper agent-building surface
Three architectures, conversational, a visual graph editor with version history, and DTMF IVR, against our single prompt-based builder. Our flow compiler exists but has no editor behind it, and our DTMF module is not wired into the call path.
Which one should you pick?
Choose Bolna AI if…
Choose Bolna if you need carrier redundancy, 140-series origination, Truecaller verification, a visual flow editor, DTMF IVR, or a self-hostable open-source core. On raw platform depth Bolna is ahead of us, and pretending otherwise would waste your time.
Choose CallUltra if…
Choose CallUltra if your leads and dispositions live in Zoho or HubSpot and you want that write-back working on day one rather than as an integration project, and ask both of us to demo it live before you decide.
Pricing
CallUltra starts at ₹2,999/month with 300 AI minutes included, rising to ₹14,999 for 2,100 minutes and 20-way concurrency. Overage runs from ₹5 down to ₹3.75 a minute depending on tier, and telephony is included in the rate. Minutes are counted only once the callee answers.
Bolna publishes 6.00¢/min standard (about ₹5.52), dropping to 4.51¢ at committed volume, but telephony is excluded and the platform fee is not disclosed in their docs, so the figure is not directly comparable to an all-in rate.
Pricing read 24 August 2026. Compare loaded cost rather than headline rate, several vendors in this category exclude telephony, language-model usage or both from the advertised per-minute figure.
Common questions
Is CallUltra or Bolna better for outbound calling in India?
Bolna has more telephony options and sells 140/160-series numbers, which we do not. CallUltra has prebuilt Zoho and HubSpot write-back, which Bolna does not document. For a team whose bottleneck is CRM data entry, CallUltra saves more work; for a team whose bottleneck is carrier reliability or answer rate, Bolna does.
Does Bolna have Zoho or HubSpot integration?
No native connector appears in Bolna’s documentation index as of 24 August 2026. Their documented approach to CRM sync is webhooks or an automation platform such as Zapier, Make or n8n, which means you build and maintain the mapping yourself.
Test both on the same call script
No comparison table substitutes for hearing the agent handle a real conversation in your customers’ language. Run the same script on both platforms before you decide.
