AI calling platforms, compared honestly
We build one of these, so read us accordingly. What follows says plainly where each competitor is the better choice, because a comparison that always ends the same way is not worth your time.
What actually separates these platforms
Feature lists in this category look almost identical. These are the five questions that produce different answers.
2. What the per-minute rate actually includes
A headline rate is only comparable if you know what it excludes. Several vendors bill telephony, language-model usage, or both, on top of the advertised figure. Compare loaded cost for a real campaign, not the number on the pricing page.
3. Code-mixed speech, tested on your own calls
Hindi-English switching mid-sentence is the characteristic failure mode of Indian phone calls. Vendors differ enormously here and almost none publish a benchmark. Run the same script on every shortlisted platform before deciding.
4. Where the call outcome lands
A qualified lead that nobody writes down is a lost lead. Check whether the platform has a native connector for your CRM, or whether "integration" means you build and maintain webhooks yourself.
5. Data residency and certifications
If your buyer is a bank, an insurer or a government department, residency and certifications are scored before features are. Ask where audio is processed and which certifications are held, and ask for the report, not the marketing claim.
The shortlist
Six platforms an India-first buyer is likely to be weighing, and the job each one is genuinely best at.
AI agent platform
Bolna AI
An India-focused voice agent platform with unusual telephony breadth and an actively maintained open-source core.
Best for: Carrier redundancy, 140-series numbers, a visual flow editor, or a self-hostable open-source core.
Indic model provider and agent platform
Sarvam AI
An Indian AI company that owns its own ASR, TTS and LLM, self-hosts all three, and sells both models and a full calling-agent product.
Best for: Regulated buyers, data residency, and heavily code-mixed calls across less common Indian languages.
Voice model provider with an agent layer
ElevenLabs
The strongest voice synthesis in the category, with a deliberately model-neutral agent framework layered on top.
Best for: Voice quality as the product, in-app agents, voice cloning, and bring-your-own language model.
Enterprise CX suite
Haptik
A Reliance Jio-owned omnichannel customer-experience platform, chat-dominant, with voice as one line among many.
Best for: Large enterprises needing certifications, an SLA, and voice governed alongside seven other channels.
White-label agent platform
Awaz.ai
An orchestration and billing layer built on top of Retell AI, sold white-label first to agencies and resellers.
Best for: Agencies reselling outside India, where white-label branding and partner billing are the business.
AI agent platform
Ringg AI
An India-focused calling platform built around its own Hindi speech-recognition model, with published accuracy benchmarks.
Best for: Hindi and Hinglish at volume, where you will run a word-error-rate test before buying.
Where CallUltra is not the answer
We hold no security certifications, publish no uptime SLA, and process call audio outside India. If your procurement scores data residency or requires an audit report, shortlist Sarvam AI or Haptik instead, you will find that out at the security review otherwise, and later is worse for both of us.
We also do not offer voice cloning, a visual flow editor, a white-label reseller portal with custom domains, or carrier redundancy beyond a single provider. Each of those has a better home elsewhere on this page.
Common questions
What is the best AI calling platform for India?
It depends on which constraint binds. For Indic speech breadth and data residency, Sarvam AI. For telephony depth and carrier redundancy, Bolna AI. For measured Hindi accuracy, Ringg AI. For voice quality in a product rather than a campaign, ElevenLabs. For enterprise CX across many channels, Haptik. CallUltra is strongest when your leads live in Zoho or HubSpot and you want the number, the rupee billing and the CRM write-back in one product.
Which AI calling platforms can supply Indian phone numbers?
CallUltra, Bolna, Ringg and Sarvam all provision Indian numbers. ElevenLabs does not sell numbers at all and requires you to bring Twilio or your own SIP trunk. Awaz.ai states in its own FAQ that it cannot currently support purchasing or connecting Indian numbers because of VOIP regulations.
Does CallUltra hold ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certification?
No. CallUltra holds no security certifications today, offers no uptime SLA and processes audio outside India. If any of those are procurement requirements, Sarvam AI or Haptik are the appropriate shortlist.

Run the same script on every shortlist
The deciding test in this category is a live call with real code-switching. It takes an afternoon and it beats every comparison table, including this one.
